Aware of the floods in Colorado, the Sakyong expressed his concern for those living there, in particular the sangha who are affected. It is a scary time for many, as three have already died and one person is, at the time of this writing, reported missing.
Rinpoche had this to say: “My thoughts are with all of you in Boulder and the Front Range during this challenging time. It is important that we all work together to protect and support those in need.”
In the midst of this devastating storm there are stories of ordinary heroes stepping beyond their comfort level and reaching out to neighbors in distress. The Sakyong is practicing for the victims of this flood and encourages us to keep an open heart and look out for opportunities to benefit beings in need, today in Colorado and moving forward as a community.
